Become a Volunteer

Our parish community makes the impact that it does because of the involvement of our members. As St. Paul teaches, different though we are - with our gifts and talents - each of us has a unique contribution to make to the building up of the Body of Christ and the development of the Kingdom of God. There are many ways to be involved in the mission of the parish - please check the parish bulletin for the different opportunities available.

Safe Environment Training

Holy Name Parish is committed to creating a safe environment for all who come here, and follow the Diocese of Fall River’s Safe Environment protocol to ensure that to be the case.

This involves all employees and volunteers undergoing a CORI check, undertaking safe environment training, and signing a Code of Conduct.

Every six years, all volunteers must complete the Safe Environment Training. The training includes a series of videos, an online test, and (if passed) a Certificate of Completion. The certificate must be printed out and forwarded to the Parish Office.

The link below takes you to the Diocesan Safe Environment Page with guidance on how to complete all three aspects of the safe environment training (please click on the “Essential Three” button).  Please contact the Parish Office or the Diocesan Safe Environment Office if you need assistance in completing any of these.

Note: Please be aware that the Safe Environment Training discusses sensitive topics. Discretion is advised when watching.

The Diocesan “Big Three” are requirements for all volunteers in the Diocese of Fall River. They are regulated by the Office of Safe Environment. More information about the Office of Safe Environment can be found here.
